Problemi sul server con il DB

Salve ho un problema con il database, in locale mi funziona alla perfezione ma sul server nmi da questo errore, qualcuno saprebbe darmi una mano?

    Ciao l'ho già visto questo errore...

    Prova a cercare il file /etc/my.cnf

    e dentro l'istruzione: 
    
basedir=/var/lib
    prova a commentarla e a riavviare mysql.
