For one of our important clients, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Expert Developer.

Start Date: within a few weeks

Seniority: Expert

Work Mode: the client is based in Milan but the position can be managed remotely if the candidate would live far from Milan, will be enough a day or two from time to time

Italian: Native or Full Professional Proficiency

English: strictly mandatory, daily contacts for meetings with teams all over many countries (especially India)

Job Description

We are looking for a Cybersecurity (CYS) Expert Developer / Owner Industrial Embedded to act as the main reference for cybersecurity across a critical portfolio of switchgear and control systems.

This role combines cybersecurity architecture and development, ensuring that our products are secure, compliant with IEC 62443-4-2 and aligned with EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)

requirements across the full product lifecycle.

The candidate will work closely with R&D, Product Management and external auditors to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities and support both internal and customer-facing activities.

Key Responsibilities

1 Act as the main contact person for cybersecurity topics across the portfolio

2 Support discussions with cybersecurity auditors and clearly explain technical solutions

3 Understand and continuously improve the cybersecurity architecture

4 Ensure alignment with IEC 62443-4-2 and EU CRA requirements

Work location

Remote work with occasional meetings at the client's office in Milan

Competenze richieste

Secure Development & Integration

1 Work with developers, architects and product owners to implement cybersecurity requirements

2 Propose practical security improvements aligned with real product usage

3 Support secure communication, authentication and system hardening

Vulnerability & Patch Management (CRA-critical)

1 Own vulnerability and patch management processes

2 Manage and maintain SBOM

3 Ensure all libraries and dependencies are up to date

4 Coordinate and document security updates and patches

Documentation & Lifecycle Support

1 Maintain cybersecurity documentation for audits, customers and internal processes

2 Ensure cybersecurity is considered in design, development, testing and release phases

Customer & Project Support

1 Analyze customer cybersecurity requirements

2 Translate requirements into technical actions

3 Support Market & Application teams

Required Skills & Experience

Software Development

1 C++, C#, Python and scripting (bash/powershell)

2 Linux-based embedded systems

3 Distributed/service-based architectures

4 Docker

Cybersecurity Expertise

1 Experience in industrial, embedded or IoT environments

2 Secure communication, certificates, authentication and authorization

3 System hardening

4 Standards: ISO/IEC 27001 and IEC 62443

Vulnerability Management

1 CVEs and vulnerability management

2 Security patches and library updates

3 Maintaining software dependencies
